The John Munroe Hospital Group is a provider of individualized high quality and holistic mental health services to the NHS. Operating in Staffordshire, we build upon over 20 years experience in mental healthcare provision. High class, professional treatment is innermost to everything we do and therapeutic improvement is the key aim for each individual we care for.
Our principle aim is to promote independence for life for our patients. We endeavour to provide stimulating activities and recreational facilities for the individual, by being progressive, dynamic and forward thinking in our approach to care in order to reduce the 'revolving door syndrome'.
The treatment ethos of the service is primarily based upon a rehabilitative approach, and we also have skilled multi-professional staff that specializes in the care of all patients with severe and enduring mental illness. We have a philosophy at the JMH in that we focus on the 'individual' not on their age, so as a result we are able to treat patients beyond the age of 65 and don't require a 'variation in our registration'.
The group provides slow stream rehabilitation (excluding psychiatric intensive care) and we aim to be compliant with the highest procedural and relational security standards as recommended by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. We also follow the applicable standards from the DoH Mental Health Policy Implementation Guild for Psychiatric intensive Care and Low Secure Environments with regard to relational physical and environmental security.
