Here at the JOHN MUNROE INDEPENDENT HOSPITAL we have an active individual training program.

Through our partnership with Chester University we second a senior university lecturer who co-ordinates all our training needs along with a full time education facilitator.

Through our strong relationship with Chester University we also offer student nurse placements. Chester University website: www.chester.ac.uk

We have also developed a strong relationship with Leek College, where we offer work experience for students studying GNVQ's and NVQ's: www.leek.ac.uk

As well as Leek College we also offer placements for student nurses from Keele University and Staffordshire University which underlines our strong beliefs that education and training leads to a better workplace and higher level of treatment for our patients. We are also currently interviewing psychology students who wish to gain experience here at the John Munroe Hospital as part of their training from Staffordshire University. One of our senior OT's is an OT fieldwork educator and has already been to the OT college to discuss taking OT students on placement from Stafford and Coventry University.

Leek College is also planning to offer training to our entire patient group, they are currently in discussions with our educational officer.
