Established in 1988 and set in the beautiful picturesque Staffordshire Moorlands, we are a leading national provider of mental health rehabilitation and long term mental health care. Operating in the Midlands, but accepting referrals nationwide, we build upon over 22 years experience in mental health care provision.
We provide a independent mental health hospital rehabilitation service to NHS patients with impaired life skills. They may have been on NHS acute wards, low secure facilities or psychiatric intensive care units (PICU) and now require a new approach to their care. We do this by using slow stream rehabilitation and recovery models that utilize step down care pathways in order to maximise their independence and promote optimal quality of life.
The John Munroe Mental Health Hospital Group provides a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which mental health care, well being and comfort are of prime importance. This philosophy is embedded within the statement of purpose and forms the essence of care.
The John Munroe Hospital is an 54 bedded independent hospital which aims to provide mental health rehabilitation in a secure, relaxed and homely environment over four units, in which quality care, well being, security and comfort are of prime importance.
The hospital has vast facilities to ensure all patients have a high quality of life and take part in ward based activities or set programmes of occupational therapy in the community or in our brand new occupational therapy building.
