Brief overview of the organisation:

The John Munroe Hospital Group has 61 beds and is situated in the Staffordshire Moorlands. The Group provides care for patients with severe and enduring mental illness, who may also be detained under section 3 of the 1983 Mental Health Act.

This position is ideal for those who would like more potential add hoc work or those who are at college or university who would like to gain some experience within a care setting.

Please note that this can be a physically demanding role due to the nature of the patient group and the fact that you will be trained in the Management of Actual and Potential Aggression (MAPA) method of de-escilation and physical restraint - so please take this into consideration before applying

Skills and knowledge required:

• Good communication skills and flexibility as we may require you to work a shift at short notice as we provide 24 hours care to our patients.
• Minimum Requirements: 6 months experience in a healthcare environment (NVQ 2 desirable but not essential)
