Staff Nurse's - Bank

Title: Staff Nurse/s (RMN / RNLD) - experienced  - to join our Bank System:

Location: Leek or Rudyard, Staffordshire - Days or Nights.

Brief overview of the organisation:
The John Munroe Hospital Group has 66 beds, split over 5 units and is situated in the Staffordshire Moorlands. The Group provides care for patients with severe and enduring mental illness, who may also be detained under section 3 of the 1983 Mental Health Act.

Skills and knowledge required:

•  You will need to be enthusiastic and well motivated to join our friendly team. You will have excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with patients who may present with challenging behaviours and enduring mental health problems.
• Successful candidates will be able assess, plan, implement and evaluate our care/management plans using our bespoke electronic documentation system (training provided).
• Candidates should also have a good knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983/2007), Mental Capacity Act (2005), DOLS and also be aware of relevant recent changes to the Act (training will be provided to keep you up to date).
• You will also have good people management skills as you will be required to manage a team of clinical support workers to ensure quality care is delivered and will be able to deal with situations that may arise effectively.
• We are dedicated to providing a patient centred approach to care including individual care planning and effective management plans through evidence based practice. You will be pivotal in facilitating the team to work effectively in order to help each individual patient achieve their full potential.

Please note that this can be a physically demanding role due to the nature of the patient group and the fact that you will be trained in the Management of Actual and Potential Aggression (MAPA) method of de-escilation and physical restraint - so please take this into consideration before applying
