Overview of admission criteria:
Working age adults and/or older people (18+)
Sectioned under the Mental Health Act (1983), 3, 37, 37/41, 47/49 or informal.
Primary diagnosis of mental illness with: complex mental health needs, challenging behaviours and are treatment resistant.
Patients with a forensic history.
Typical Diagnosis of our patient group: Schizophrenia, Bi Polar, Schizo-Affective Disorder, Personality Disorder, Depression, Dementia and Aquired Brain Injury (ABI).
We will also assess patients who have a secondary mild to moderate learning disability.
Service users who have a mental illness and co morbidity alongside their primary diagnosis - such as a drug and/or alcohol problem or a physical condition such as diabetes or hypotension.
Making a referral:
The referral process is simple and you will have guidance throughout the process.
If you have a referral please call 01538 394279 and we will go through the referral process with you. Please ensure you have as much information about the patient as possible: history, diagnosis etc
We endevour in most cases to arrange the assessment within 5 working days.
Once we have assessed the patient we will be back in touch with you with the comprehensive assessment including risk management plans and a detailed costing.
