The JOHN MUNROE GROUP currently employs over 200 staff. We provide intensive psychiatric rehabilitation and continuing care services for individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.

All appointments are subject to the following:

An enhanced DBS and two references.

Plus the John Munroe Group has a zero tolerance towards recreational drugs and use of alcohol at work.

All staff may be subject to a drug test on commencement of employment.

Please note that this can be a physically demanding role due to the nature of the patient group and the fact that you will be trained in the Management of Actual and Potential Aggression (MAPA) method of de-escilation and physical restraint - so please take this into consideration before applying

Clinical Support Workers

We require Clinical Support Workers - for the Edith Shaw Hospital, Leek and for the John Munroe Hospital, Rudyard.


Current Clinical Support Worker Salary Range:

  • No qualifications: £7.38 - £7.83 per hour (depending upon age - from April 18).
  • NVQ 2: £8.50 per hour
  • NVQ 3: £8.60 per hour
  • Senior Clinical Support Workers: £8.90 per hour


  • Clinical Support Worker Night Enhancement of £1.50 per hour
  • Clinical Support Worker Weekend Day Enhancement of £1.00 per hour
  • We also offer our Clinical Support Workers excellent overtime opportunities: Currently paid at £2.00 per hour.

Clinical Support Worker Hours of Work : 14 shifts over a 28 day period (part time hours are also available).

Kitchen Assistant

Salary: 7.83 per hour

The John Munroe Group requires a full or part time kitchen assistant.

Places of work for the kitchen assistant: John Munroe Hospital, Rudyard.

The successful kitchen assistant candidate would have to be flexible, motivated, happy to work as part of a team (but mainly on their own) and be physically fit and able.

Only kitchen assistant candidates with some catering experience will be considered.
