My name is Pete, and I am the Occupational Therapy Assistant at John Munroe Hospital and I have been in this post for 3 and half years. Am passionate about helping our patients to achieve their Occupational Therapy goals. Outside of work am passionate about photography and enjoy walking.
My name is Sophie, I graduated from university in 2017 with a degree in psychology, then worked as a therapy assistant in a mental health hospital before moving to Australia/New Zealand for a couple of years. This is my first assistant psychologist job! I aim to eventually do a doctorate after a few more years’ experience as an AP.
My name is Julie, and I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years, starting as a nursing assistant then passing my qualifications as a fitness instructor and finally moving into Occupational Therapy in 2008. I started at John Munroe Hospital only a short time ago and am relishing the prospect of developing my role within the OT department and completing assessments and treatment pathways for all the patients. I have a special interest in dementia care and supporting individuals to have a quality of life that is meaningful and fulfilling. My interests are fitness, football, going on holidays and shopping.
My name is Emma, I started my working life in media before returning to university to study a master’s degree in psychology in 2018. Following this, I began working in mental health services, within both adult and CAHMS services. During summer 2021, I moved to John Munroe and now work as an Assistant Psychologist. In the future, I hope to study on the clinical psychology doctorate programme. When I’m not at work, I’m usually hiking up a mountain or mountain biking through the forest.
My Name is Tracy, I work at John Munroe as an Activities Coordinator. I have worked at the hospital for three years and am responsible for reporting any issues back to the head of the therapy team. In my role I endeavor to create a meaningful stimulating and varied activity program, encouraging independence for our patients to live as full and active life as possible. When not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and grandchildren and enjoy going on Holidays abroad.
My name is Alex, and I am the Head of Therapies, I am an Occupational therapist by background. I have a wealth of experience in working with patients with personality disorder diagnosis, I am a sensory integration level 2 practitioner and have used these skills to support with trauma informed therapy. I am also trained in planned dream interventions to treat nightmares and flashbacks. I am currently completing a masters in Advancing Professional Practice with a focus on leadership and Quality Improvement. Outside of work I am a keen horse rider and have been since I was 2 years old!
My name is Dave, and I am an Occupational Therapist Technical Instructor, I have been working at John Munroe Hospital for over 15 years. I started as a support worker and have worked within the Occupational Therapies for over 12 years I enjoy working with our patients on community skills. In my spare time I enjoy building model aeroplanes.
My name is Charlotte, and I am an activities coordinator and I have been in this role for 12 months and prior to that I worked as a support worker with John Munroe Hospital. Within my role I enjoy making our patients activities person centred, especially for our Dementia patients. Went I am not at work I love looking after my horse and dogs.

My name is Darren, and I have worked at John Munroe Hospital for over 15 years. In my time here I have worked as a support worker, and I have been an activities coordinator for over 5 years. I find this job rewarding been able to support our patient to engage in activities they enjoy. In my own time I enjoy gardening and antiques.
